Just thought everyone should know I called tremec today because I couldn't understand how they would say you need shift stops when nether the cars they where put in are the transmissions when you order from them came with shift stops. They said that the t56 has them built in and not only do you not need them but they recommend that you don't use them. I understand that they might be covering there own a** because they didn't use them but maybe they are just telling the truth.

Just the childish arguing that was happening before. It usually starts right back up. Defensive much? I never said it wasn't a good read. Still waiting patiently for my MGW to get shipped to me, I can't wait to try it out.

Not defensive. Just wanna be mods want to try and close threads that shouldnt be.

Just messing.

Just remember that the MGW takes a little bit to get broken in. Ive had mine for almost 5k miles and its super smooth now. Only thing I want is a shorter stick now.

Do you reccomend a short stick? I have a WS6store short stick on my sotck shifter right now, I might carry it over and use it on the MGW and see how it is.

I dont think it fits in the MGW clamp. Im not sure. Someone else would have to chime in on that.

It honestly doesnt need it but I just want it because Im using a Hurst 6speed black ball and it stands up a little higher than I would like.

Well when mine gets here I'll give it a shot and post up so everyone knows if it works or not. I like the height of my shifter a lot. Though its a waste since I bought the MGW stick and **** as well for like $50 extra.

Seriously the best thing about this shifter. I have since drove a B&M, Pro 5.0 and Hurst ripper and the MGW is by far the "easiest" to shift, if that is even the right word.

The movement of the shifter isn't too hard right? My stock hurst has "great" centering action due to the fact that it takes about 50 lbs of force to get the damn thing to move in any direction.

Search for my name on youtube to see the centering action in action.

If you are in 1st and just pull back itll go into the neutral position on its own and VERY fast. That is what makes the 2-3 shift so smooth, easy and fool proof.

Yea I do.

Trust me, its VERY VERY good at self centering. It literally springs back into place.

my MGW seems ok, at first it was very stiff, but now is broken in and feels so much better.

It is harder to get into gear, but that is due to the shorter throw. As for centering itself, I know it is more than the B&M Ripper it replaced in my car, but I can't remember how stiff the Hurst was that originally came in my car.

Overall, I still love mine, and I've had it for quite a while at this point. I just need to sell my B&M Ripper that is now sitting in a box.

Yeah I was going to call today then I realized too late that the 3 hour difference meant the shop was already closed.
