One of the first things I did, didn't really notice a difference though.

Update: Went to the track last weekend and ran a new personal best of 11.92@119.2with a 1.81 60'. I held the revs at 5k and slipped it very quickly on BFG DR's. Still stock 101k mile suspension with bilstein shocks. Full weight. I tried leaving harder on the next run but blew the tires off. I think I got them too hot.

On a side note, I am in the process of changing my true duals over to 3"x12" bullets and went to the track with an open X-pipe. With dumped 2.5" powersticks I ran 12.2x-12.3x@115.x 5 passes in a row. With the open X I ran 11.92@119.2 and followed it up with 2 a 12.0x@118.8 and a 12.1x@118.x (spun off the line).

4mph from an apparently restricted exhaust? Weather conditions were almost identical. 60' was within .06

1.7x on street tires and stock suspension, (ran 12.23 @ 113 with full exhaust and lid, untuned, on that one pass, normally run 12.8x-13.x) but it was a fluke pass, but i have managed a few 1.9x and one 1.8x on street tires as well

That's badass man. I would love to see a video of a car on street tires pull that kind of 60'... especially with a stock suspension, just awesome. What track was that?

at HRP, like i said, the 1.7x was a fluke, but the car does usually consistently 60 in the 1.9x range, and hooks up VERY well on the street

1.74 slipping the clutch. That was on M/T drag radials and a Spec 3+ w/ a Fidanza aluminum flywheel. Over the winter I installed a 9" and I just got some 17x11.5 Hoosier QTP's. Now Im just gonna drop the clutch and hope for the best.

Yea, slipping the clutch is feathering the clutch pedal. You dont want to side step it, get a line lock instead.

What does side steping the clutch even mean? Is it dumping the clutch?

yes. its just moving your foot of the pedal and having it instantly engage.

Can you guys help me? The best I have done with Nitto D/R's 2.1 60' and most of the time it's 2.2 & 2.3. That sucks!!! I would like some 1.6 to 1.7 60' times.

What clutch are you running? What are you launching at? How are you launching......slipping it or just popping it out?

What does a line lock have to do with launching?

That's not going to be easy with nittos. Either way, feather it just enough to keep it stuck to the ground. It also keeps it higher in the power band.
