Default Best 60's: M6-10bolt

I thought for sure there would already be a thread of 60's for M6's with a 10-bolt, but I couldn't find one. So I decided to start one. Post up what your best 60's are and what setup/method you used to get it. I'm really looking for the guys with 1.8's or faster, and obviously only M6 cars.

My best: 1.76

Setup: Spec 3, Richmond 4.10's, Torsen diff, BFG DR's, stock suspension.

Method: Slipping the clutch just enough to preload the suspension. Leaving around 4500.

With my cam only 2005 GTO:

LS7 clutch, Mickey Thompson ET street radials, stock gear and suspension.

Slipped the clutch around 4k. Got my in the consistant 1.7x's with as best of 1.71 (almost got my damn 1.6x!)

You may get better esponse in the drag racing section, but from other people i know

low 1.8xx for my buddies m6. I think If you launch right(slipping the clutch like you) you may get a few high 1.6xx's in there but any more and that 10 bolt is on borrowed time. Be proud of your 1.76 and having everything still together.

Your 3.42 rear end is acually worth some$$$ in good condition to the auto guys. I've seen em go for $400-$600. I would apply thast to a 12 bolt.

I was easily pulling 1.7* 60' on Nitto 555RIIs, LS6 clutch, 150 shot and the stock 3.42 10 bolt. I was leaving @ 2400RPM. The axle did get rather pissed off tho and began whining even louder after that track day. The nine inch goes in soon.

Best I was able to get was a 1.76 with 3.73's and 17" BFG's before the 10-bolt called it quits.

Never chanced it, Sold it to a local member and made some money. I had a 12 bolt from my 383 LTX setup and it swapped right in!!

I got people who slip the **** out of the clutch and even go on later in the season on smoking it but manage 1.7x on Nitto DR, and some suspension, stock springs.

Best 60' with a cam/bolt on camaro with 3.42's, stock suspension except lowering springs, BFG DR's was a 1.7 launching at 4,000rpm's, SPEC clutch. Took it to the track last weekend now on MT DR's, launching at 5,000rpms and only managing a 1.8 and will not push it anymore until a 12 bolt goes in.

Mid 1.8x on the stock 10 bolt Spec 3+ clutch and BFG dr's. Suspension is completely stock except for Bilstein HD shocks front and rear. It has much more in it traction wise. I think I can dip in the low 1.7's on what I would consider a perfect launch using the method I am (slipping). I was leaving at ~4500rpm. I refuse to launch any harder than a 1.80 before I have a 9" in my garage waiting to be installed.

Damn wickedrx7...I wouldn't have even thought you could push a stock 10 bolt that far. I've been too scared to put slicks on let alone launching at 5,000 RPM's with slicks. Don't have the money right now for a 9inch or 12 bolt.

My LT1 with an 02 10 bolt with 3.42's was going 1.52-1.53's fairly consistant. Well at least until it grenaded Nothing like dumping it at 5500 on ET Streets at 11 psi.

jmill, that is just sick!

silverz28, my best 1/4 mile is a 12.06 @ 115.8 with a 1.81 60'. I ran a 7.79 1/8th mile that pass.

I miss shifted on the top end on the 1.76 60', but ran a 7.68 1/8th mile. It would have been an easy 11, but I screwed it up. However, I'm going back next weekend to get that 11 second slip.

Damn some of you guys are daring. I'm scared of breaking mine, and i'm letting it out at like 1000 rpm, stock tires, granny shifting
