LS7 won't bite... McLeod, Ram, Tex?
So, I'm now looking at a dual disk.... McLeod, Ram or even Tex...
I have a few commets/questions:
1. I don't mind spending more money for a better product. I'm looking for a clutch that has near stock pedal feel yet will bite when I need it to. I also want to install it only ONCE with no issues at install or 2,000 miles down the road.
2. I'd like to get a decent amount of mileage out of the clutch that I choose. What has been your experience with your clutch life?
3. The car is a street car with track duty only a few times per year. I'd like a clutch that drives great in traffic and cruising around town. What is your experience?
It is my understanding that a dual disk is twice the surface area of a single disk and requires half the line pressure. So, the dual disk will have the most stock-like feel with most bite when needed. Correct?
The only reservation I have about the Tex OZ700 is that it's one expensive single disk.
The McLeod has a great name and I know others that like it.
The Ram has great information on their website and they seem to have the best flywheel and clutch assemblies. I've been looking at their Street Dual.
Please help guys!
