Default Rebuilt T56 or go 4L80E? good T56 rebuilders for high HP

most of my mods are in my sig i was wondering if the T56 will hold up for alog time if i get it rebuilt? I am on my 7th clutch and i hope the Exo last for awhile seems i change clutches every year . Second question where sre some good T56 rebuilders if i stick with it? Thanks for the repies!

A built 4L80 should handle the power fine and with the right convertor haul ***. A built T56 with Viper mainshaft should do the same with ease but keeping a clutch in it could be an issue depending on what you are using.

7 clutches??? Good god! Over 20 years I hope. Just kidding. Yes and yes...4L80 is a bad *** tranny that will hold lots of power and be reliable (once it's built) but same goes for teh '56.

I had my tranny done by Six Speeds before they went out. and is doing well with 520whp+ and a 150 shot. Now for the clutch issues, I have a write up about that in this section...

RPM transmission is who built mine. Full Level 5 and the only goodie that I didn't get was a Viper Spec main shaft. I am very happy with RPM.

I bought a 4l80e. Ive had to many clutch and hydrolic issues to keep messing around. Not only that but I can spray more nitrous and have no fear of missing a gear.

Once I break my 56 im goin lenco, keep that option open, still a manual but alot tougher
