Default T56 rebuild Quote

I was wondering if anyone had an idea on price for a t56 mild rebuild. It sounds like my input bearing is bad and I really dont want just anyone to rebuild it. Has anyone had much experience with Tick Performance? If anyone has any opinions or information it would be greatly appreciated!

it was cheaper for me to buy a new tranny from Keisler (Knoxville, TN) than to have mine rebuilt.

I don't know if he's still a sponsor on here, but I HIGHLY recommend Jason at Texas Drivetrain Performance. And I think anyone who's dealt with him would agree.

(mods can remove if he's not still a sponsor)

http://www.tick-performance.com/tick...ackages/fbody/

Is your trans from an f-body? We've considered offering an even cheaper rebuild package re-using the existing 1/2 and 3/4 syncro assemblies when they are in good condition (no signs of serious grinding). Of course, many if not most trans sent to us will need atleast one or both of those syncros replaced anyway so we haven't really offered these options. With all our packages you get both the 1/2 and 3/4 syncro assemblies new as well as the other parts included which are listed in the link above.

Hahaha, I don't remember the last time I saw a used 3/4 synchro that wasn't beat to hell with teeth rounder and smoother than a bowling ball.

I used tick and can only talk about my experiance. had the stage 2 done. The trans seems fine but has grinded 4th on and off at cruising speeds ever since new. They suggested to change from the mobile one atf to a cheaper didn't help. The case has a small leak from new. All in all besides mention good trans. They said they would check it out under warrenty but didn't want to spend the 200 in shipping and didn't have time to pull it.
Would I use them again maybe.

I rebuilt mine myself with the Tick Stage II Kit and other parts/upgrades and it's the smoothest one that I've driven in my life..not one grind and shifts extremely smooth.
I have $850 invested in my rebuild.

I have a tick stage 2 rebuild as well....had 0 issues with the trans, always worked flawless, smooth, never grinds WOT or part throttle. And i shift the hell outta it.
Not clutches....thats a TOTAL different story.
