anyone offer an upgraded input shaft?

Default anyone offer an upgraded input shaft?

anyone offer an upgraded input shaft ? i havent found one besides for a ford t56

The only option is a machined down Viper input shaft.

isnt that the mainshaft? i am looking for the 31 tooth input shaft (4th gear) the main shaft looks okay, the input shaft looks like the weak link to me

The input shaft is where the clutch disc rides. Are you asking for a 31 spline clutch disc support? The input shaft only sees engine TQ and is good for over 1000. The gear(TQ) multiplication happens at the output where is can see several thousand lb-ft of TQ.

Yes its the input shaft. Its the same tooth count but thicker in the area from the splines to the seal surface of the gear. You have to have the Viper shaft cut down and machined to match the Ls1 input shaft.

ok thanks. are there any shops that sell a finished product or do i need to get a viper shaft and have the work done?

the actual input shaft is what im looking for. the input necks down after the splines

thanks, my builders opinion was that i need to upgrade that with what my power level will be. i will talk to him tommorow

If it can handle 1000 hp. way have I just distroyed two in 1 year. I keep shearing the splines in less than 10,000 miles on the new one. the first one had 113,000 on it

Call a guy named Wally at ProMotion Powertrain in ft.lauderdale fl.
Their number is 954-771-5575..He can also sell you the parts or build you a solid transmission..
