Wow so with 50+ views NO one can say?

The SS seems to have everything OE. He claims the trans had a recent rebuild and it is smooth.

I've yet to wear a clutch out on an Fbod and both my other T56s grab low and I like it. Is it maybe the clutch isn't shimmed?

Well, it is certainly possible that the clutch is worn out. High pedal engagament would normally evidence excessive clutch wear. Of course other info is important. Does the car have ab adjustable Master? This wouldn't be relative to the lack of a shim. Is the car using an LS7 clutch kit. If so, they don't require a shim for use.

That's what I thought, I have no idea what clutch is in it. Guess I'll have to pull it soon...I was told stock, but what does that mean???

If it is stock then it has an SAC clutch and these do not normally have high engagement until they are absolutely shot.

I've seen that happen a lot to stock clutches when they are worn out.

I sure it may be a clutch going out. Grabs and shifts fine though.

Sounds like what mine is doing also. My pedal sounds like it needs oiling also. It's getting noisy.

Mine was squeeky too crawl underneath it and spray some lithium grease where you hear the noise and it will go away. Make sure you put a towel on the floor so it doesnt drip on your carpet.

Also my stock clutch is grabbing pretty late/high but i have the ticks master cylinder. It still shifts fine and hasnt slipped as of yet. Should i be ok to race it 1 or two more times for the rest of the year or do you guys think its completely shot?
