where should i send my t56 to have it rebuilt!?
Ok I've had my 99 z28 ls1 camaro for a few months now and I realized that 5th and 6th sometimes grind and won't go into gear. I've built 4 speeds but the t56's make me alittle nervous to rip apart. Im pretty sure the syncrows in 5th and 6th are worn so I want the have the whole thing rebuilt. Im going to be racing it around road courses where I live so i want it to be built right and with upgraded internals. Anybody have one built somewhere and are you happy with it?

I had mine built by TDP in Texas, stage 2 plus a rebuild because my transmission was working but 200,000 km of hard driving took its toll. I've driven the car hard and the shifts are crisp and amazing. Much better than before. Mine ran me $1400 US but that included quite a few extra things due to wear and tear on a 16 year old transmission.

Rockland Standard in Rockland Cty NY.... You could drive it rite to them and save on the shipping. They are awesome with the Tremecs. I had them do mine and the damn thing laughs at 5K launches and 700 HP yet shifts like butter.

I agree with this guy. I had two different local guys build and rebuild my transmission and they never lasted. I have a stage V t-56 and how this thing shifts and how it feels when I shift it is just amazing.

Here is a link to our parts and labor builds.

We have quite a few different options depending on how much power you are making and what your goals are with your car.
We are located in Anderson Indiana. We get fantastic shipping rates and I can schedule a pickup so you don't have to mess with shipping it yourself.
Feel free to give me a call or PM if you have any questions at all.

Tick Performance master cylinder. And lots of people including myself have had their transmissions built by TDP. Great guy to to business with and customer service next to none. You can't go wrong with either TDP or RPM.

just got mine back from TDP. VERY knowledgable and know what they are doing! if i get another transmission rebuilt it will be here! worth every penny. i took mine up there to get rebuilt while i waited and as it was being tore down everything that was bad was explained to me and why it went bad in detail. customer service was great!
