Best deal on a new T56?

I bought a used one from a 99 T/A with 70k miles on it shortly after buying the car as the original owner beat the factory one to hell drag racing. Now my car has about 92,000 miles and that transmission has minimum 130k miles on it, maybe more. It whines and vibrates loudly all the time. Reverse sometimes get's kicked out. It's time for a replacement.
I wouldn't mind selling the old one to someone if they wanted to rebuild it and they were offering more than a core charge.
Problem with getting it rebuilt for myself is the car is my only means of transportation and I drive a lot for work. I can't be without the car for more than 2-3 days and I'm assuming a rebuild would take longer.

Ah, ok. I found their website but I didn't quite understand. I thought you send them your transmission and they rebuild it for the listed price. I guess I got that backwards. If that's true it's a pretty good deal, I must say. My car only has about 380 HP, if that much, and I doubt it'll ever exceed 450. Any advice on additional options it would need?

New T56 units are pretty much discontinued through Tremec as they are now selling the T56 Magnum units. If you currently have a T56 available for a rebuild, it makes more sense to go that route than to purchase a brand new unit in most cases.
