So I have a TR-6060, not a T-56. But I figure you guys still might know what's going on. I had an adjustable master cylinder installed, and when I drive conservatively, as in normal daily driving, it's fine. But when I have a little fun, and get pretty rough on the clutch, after a few gear changes it seems to "depress" so to speak. What I mean is, now instead of having to push in the clutch a few inches for it to engage, it's already farther back, and I only need to push it in about a 1/2 inch. It makes driving rather difficult.

However, if I turn the car off and let it sit for a while say, overnight, it drives perfectly fine again. Any idea what could be causing this?

 

Im having the same problem in my T/A took a peek at the clutch fluid and it was black going to flush and bleed it hopefully that will help.

 

I had the same issue. Bleeding it fixed it. Old fluid. The slave could be going if the flush doesn't work.

 

Cause by old/water-saturated fluid.... When it gets hot, it starts to boil off.

New fluid will fix you right up!

Try flushing the system out, and perhaps using DOT4 brake fluid instead. It has a higher boiling point.

Or use Motul RBF, has a BP of 500-600 instead of the generic DOT 3 which is around 300

 

Motul is some GOOD ****. A little pricey, though.

 

It's probably your pressure plate.

 

Bought a big *** tub of DOT 3 and I suck out my clutch resivoir fluid every time I drive it hard....which is about every time I take it out. This has solved all my clutch pedal issues and I'm on the stock master. Or you need a new clutch.
