550rwhp 110% streetable (stock like) clutch.
need a clutch that would hold up to 550rwhp. drive and feel like stock. dont want anything that has that on/off feeling or will be a PITA to drive around town. smooth engagement even with a big cam. sees the track maybe once a month (max).
havent looked at clutches in some years. not sure whats out there and what people have been finding suits them well.
(PS- monster stg 3 is not a choice.)

I believe, but don't quote me, it's an organic ceramic compound... err something like that!!!
Everything I've read on them is people are amazed at how streetable the RXT is.... there is the RST which is less money and rated at 800hp... Same reviews... I figure I might as well get the better one even though I'll be nowhere near that level of power.

Agreed^
I have one sitting on my floor to go in, it's a beautiful piece.
They also have the McLeod Rst which is good til 800 hp.
Unfortunatly I can't give you a definate answer since I haven't used it yet.
I'd steer clear from center force however. I had their dual friction(rated at 550HP IIRC) in my car for a year before it started slipping... BAD. And it is basically stock.

Doesn't it engage nice and easy? I have a big cam in my 408 and it doesnt like clutches that dont have some play in it. The on and off type will just make the car stall every single time unless you raise the rpms really high and let it out very very slowly. Its a nightmare around town.

I chose to go with the RXT also. I didn't get the RST because I plan on going to the track. Get the RXT if you go to the track any. The RST is not meant to be slipped or really abused. I haven't read a bad review yet on the RXT. I think alot of guys that got the RST didn't get a lot of life out of them, but they were also going to track with them.

Are these companies still shipping shims with their clutch kits? Can't help you on the clutch. I have a Spec stg. 3 that I wouldn't recommend lol.

As noted by so many people, I'd recommend the Mcleod RST or RXT. I have the RST in my personal C5 that makes a little under 600rwhp on spray. Drives like stock if not just a little lighter pedal than stock. The RXT uses the same pressure plate as the RST for the same effort, but the engagement is a bit more harsh as it is ceramic lined.
They bolt to any stock style LS1/LS6 flywheel.
I'll beat anyone's prices on them
