Default how do my syncros look?

okay this is my first trans rebuild and looking at the gears all the dogteeth actually look fine theres one gear that I cant remember that may need replaced. as for my syncros how do these look sorry I tried to get the best pics I could. thanks in advanced and where do you recommend to get the pieces I will need? im on a tight budget but I will replace whatever is NEEDED. just got done doing some uipgrades on the motor and once spring is around im hoping for 400hp range. only problem I had was a grind going into 3rd and you can see clearly 3rd is trash

Keeping in mind I've only been through one T56:

1-2 and 3-4 sliders look pretty bad. I'd say too bad to be cleaned up IMO. the 5-6 slider can be cleaned up with a dremel. Take off all the burrs you can feel with your fingernail and try to make the triangles pointy again without going nuts. Whichever side looks better, use that for 5th as you'll rarely if ever have a need to bang 6th. The reverse slider can be turned around and the new side used.

I'd get more opinions but to me the friction cones look good.

Replace all 3 of them. I wouldn't clean 5th, Only to find out it will only work for a while and then you have to tear into the trans all over again. Those blocker rings are factory. Replace them new, Get a bk396ws. It will come with bearings, fork pads, seals, blocker rings etc. Also post up pics of the gears so we can see the engagement teeth.

The blunted clutch teeth cannot be "dressed" acceptably.
You didn't show the gear clutch teeth but they would show a similar wear. The gears and synchonizer assembly( slider&hub) should be replaced. The blocker rings/ friction elements are the paper linings and should be upgraded to the carbon -particle linend parts.

Normally I would say replacing everything is overkill but damn thats a complete kit for a great price. Do they have a part number for the vette version? They don't have a catalog for their manual transmission rebuild kits on their site.

Absolutely replace the syncro rings. They look bad. Also considering the time it takes to pull the tranny, break it down and address the syncros, regardless of the cost of parts, to me its a no brainer.

Thanks. That kit's bearings, seals, plastic pads, and friction rings. OP needs sliders too though.
