Default Lost in a new clutch, need help!

Alrighty then, I have an 02 Trans am LS1, T56. Brand new Stage 2 monster Hydraulic clutch upgrade from TICK performance. Bled the clutch(or thought so) and getting a minor engagement in gears at idle. Cannot get the clutch to bleed any more and for whatever reason after its been bled it loses pressure a tiny bit it seems or heat does something and I cannot for the life of me get the pressure to move the slave all the way out. Help! Ideas?

Did you replace the master?

OK good. Have you adjusted the pedal height up? Typically, it will end up even with the brake pedal to slightly lower than the brake. Every once in a while someone needs to adjust higher than the brake, but it's rare.

The tick master will have no problem moving a monster S2, so assuming you got all the air out (I'm sure you did), the next question is - did you measure for a shim?

Most of the time a monster won't need one, but every once in a while it does. If you need a shim, you are missing some of the available stroke on the slave.

I have bled it per instructions on the sticky. I did not measure it. And the pedal is to the moon. I have adjusted it all over the place and got nowhere.

For reference, the maximum movement on the slave as 1/2" (13mm if you prefer). I've seen clutches need as much as 3/16" shimming to properly disengage, which is almost half the stroke of the slave.

Losing pressure as in the pedal starts to drop? If it's losing pressure then it's a hydraulic issue. Shoot me an email to steve@monsterclutches.com if you have any other questions and we'll go from there.
