Default spec will not help me out

So I puchased a spec stage 3 clutch about 2 years ago. Only put about 5 k miles on it since install the thing has had a terrible vibration ever since. So this week decided to pull it out and have the balanced checked on it. Thing is bent something terrible that it actually bent the flywheel. I had my flywheel checked when it was surfaced and it spun perfect. I called spec they said they cant warranty it being 2 years old even tho its only got about 5k miles. So now im out the 400 I spent and now a flywheel and who knows if the mains in the block are worn now too.

I caught my "vibration" right after install SPEC 2+ but they did warranty it. PP was FU, they claimed it was damaged in shipping. who knows. Never will use SPEC again. Was able to sell the "new" unit and move on.

So I assume you know you should have dealt with this right after install. Driving 5k with the vibration did not help your RMS or bearings but you may be ok

It "bent" the FW.....you mean wore it uneven?

FW is a very thick chunk of metal so "bending" it, IDK how that would happen. Uneven wear because the PP was off yes

As far as driving it I didnt have a choice at the time was my dd. The machine shop showed me the flywheel spinning without the pp it wobbles back and forth. Then he showed me the pp on a straight flywheel the pp is terribly bent.

Gotta be pretty special to put 5k miles on a vibrating clutch setup, wait two years, then bash a vendor because they won't help you. Lmfao. Some people.

The special part is where you completely missed me saying it was my DD at the time. Maybe in your perfect world it would of worked out.

DD or not, waiting 2 years to claim an issue, that's on you. Sorry, can't give sympathy.

How the hell can you bend a flywheel or pressure plate !!!

Are you blowing these things up or something ?
