Default Big clunk when shifting into second?

It has progressively gotten a little less smooth shifting to second. It still goes without a problem but now I hear a big clunk each time I shift into second when the car is cold. Its loud enough to hear outside of the car in just a big clunk, no grinding whatsoever.

Anyone have any idea what it maybe?

when do you hear the clunk? right as you release the clutch pedal after making the shift?

if so, what rearend do you have. when i had a detroit locker in my 9" it did that every damn time, not anymore since changing to a spool.

Right as I put the shifter into second. Doesnt matter what position the clutch is in. I have a Moser 12 bolt.

What torque arm are you using?

I've had that problem ever since I installed a Spohn tunnel mount design

check your torque arm...if its not tight..the rear end is making the clunk when your engaging a gear..but the arm is moving

Mine did that, checked the torque arm first. Turned out to be my Borla and no matter how I adjusted it I couldn't get it to not hit. Yanked that crap off for duals and no more clunk!
