Default Reputable Manual Trans. for LQ4 6.0L

In the process of doing and engine over haul, currently have a 4L80E transmission but would like to purchase a 6 speed manual. Will I need some sort of adaption kit ? any brands or companies anyone has had good luck with ? looking for a 6 speed manual that can take a heavy beating on the track/highway but still good enough for a daily driver.

jayyk31 Is that an S10 frame? What Year? If so, What Headers, if Stainless Works 1 7/8 Long tubes, What Mounts? Current? How do they fit with the T56?
I have only fit mine so far with 700 auto, and have T56 sitting in the floor for next upgrade.
Just curious.

Call RPM Transmission, they can fix you right up with an excellent T56 Magnum and other required parts like clutch.

I have an RPM Transmission T56 Magnum in my 99TA and it's been fantastic.

Hawk's Motorsports also does a custom T56 Magnum. I have a Hawk's Motorsports Stage 2 T56 in my 91 RS and it's been an excellent transmission.

Either Hawk's or RPM can take care of your needs.

I think you've already gotten some good leads, but moving the thread to where it belongs.

It's a '92 s10 extended cab. CPW mounts, Stainlessworks 1& 7/8 longtubes, stock 700r4 Trans crossmember cut and welded to fit the Magnum.

they fit excellent considering the little space they have to squeeze by everything. Had to grind the starter bulge on the bell and also dent 1 primary to get enough space to fit around that part of the bell.

Probably should have just deleted it. Doubt the original poster will even check the thread.
