Ram PowerGrip HD 2 go in next week!
I ordered the clutch from FUTRAL motorsports yesterday and should have the clutch....maybe 2morrow or monday and after it is installed I will let yall know how it compares to a spec 3.....pedal pressure, engagement ect...
This is a daily driver.....lil cam/ gears/ N20 (dry)....on drag radials.
Car goes on the dyno for a tune in 2weeks since iam spraying dry and needed to upgrade the injectors & fuel pump.
My local buddys have no idea whats instore for them.....

Not sure on how it compares to a Spec since I went straight from my stocker to the Ram. My Ram is firmer than stock (not bad at all though). Engagement will start low, but eventually work its way back up to about where the stock one engaged.
I think you'll like it in your daily driver. Mine is a DD as well, only I don't have nearly as many mods (strictly bolt-ons for now).

Ive had my clutch sitting a shelf in the garage for over 5 months now. The last time i went to the track last summer it slipped pretty badly after the burnout and riding it a little off the start. So I ordered the new clucth, but since the stock clutch drives fine on the street still. Im having a hard time replacing something that is working fine, especially with all the problems I have heard of people having after a clutch install. The stock on only have 30K miles.

I have something in store for both you punks. Especially you Red Fury. I don't care if you take that purge and turn it into a dual stage dry shot. I'll be waiting for you At THE FINISH LINE.

Neu Neu.....Iam not gonna start doing your favorite type of racing "couch style", I will bring what I have to the street and IF/WHENEVER your motor gets put together and all the parts fit in it the way they are supose too, you will have your chance to race me. Until then I will continue to help you PUSH your car in and out of your garage.

Now back to the topic at hand!
Pedal pressure.......A little firmer than the Spec 3
Engagement..........Better than the Spec 3.....as far as slipping the clutch.....you can slip this clutch "some" even at low rpms without chatter!! There is no "slipping" the Spec 3 your either in gear or out of gear "button clutch." The engagement starts a few inchs off the floor.....not so with the spec 3 (i had) they tend to start engaging in the upper middle (which isn't bad for some fast shifting!)
Pedal Travel.........Seems much shorter with this clutch than with the Spec 3
Keep in mind Iam running 4.10 gears!
With 3.42's (stock) or even 3.73's I might be singing a different tune.
The reason I bought this clutch was to spray nitrous (75-100shot) and keep the car on drag radials and the street......no e.t. streets or slicks ........and not on the track.

Is it more firm than the Spec 3 in the 600HP vette? Is it less firm than the VDS in Mr 35ths Camaro?

I have decided to install the RAM adjustable master cylinder due to engagment problems at high rpm 6200rpm and higher it takes a second or so for the tranny to go into gear......causing missed shifts due to my normal speed shifting. I will have the new master installed by Allen Furtral ASE certified mechanic...FUTRAL MOTERSPORTS.....if you ain't certified you ain't touchn' my car!
Yeah TR installed my cam! Jeff and Jason did a great job!!!! Jason will have his B.S. in mechanical engineering soon, congrates J!!! Higer education = mo money!!

Brian, glad you are enjoying the new clutch. I'm running the a VERY similar setup from RAM in the red car with good results.
Did you dyno the car yet? PM me if you don't want the world to know.
