McLeod M/C adjusted all the way out.......
Anyone else have to adjust your McLeod master cylinder all the way out in order to get the clutch to disengage? Mine is all the way out-----I mean ALL the way, adjusted the rod right out of the fitting . Put it back on 4 turns and called it good. Car goes into gear, but clutch engages only an inch or so off the floor. Will this come up a bit as the clutch wears??
Oh, it is a RAM Power Grip (Not Heavy Duty). A new "288" slave went in also.

Damn, am I the only person that has had to do this to get their car rolling ? I have half thought about getting a shim of some sort to put on the slave in order to move the engagement point up a couple inches; but I cannot pull the tranny myself so this will wait untill I can afford to have a shop do it for me.

That is just shitty. So far my car is driving nice. I have also noticed that the engagement pont is still real close to the floor (1.5"-2"), but it I slip it in first gear, it continues to grab harder untill 1.5"-2" from the top. Then it seems to lock in. I guess it just needs all that travel.

I got the McCleod Master and just installed my Ram Clutch (Powergrip). I have no problems with it what so ever. I know that with the Spec it engaged close to the floor and as it broke in a lil it stated to engage farther out. I'd just say let it break in. How many miles do you have on it. I did not get a new flywheel and new slave also.

It is getting better with time. Currently only 234 miles on it. It does seem to be engaging higher though. I also have not had any trouble adjusting to the Aluminum flywheel with stock 3.42 gears (some folks said take off would be a nightmare----not true). No clutch chatter except when starting on a hill.
