ls7 clutch too much for fairly stock ls1 hey guys. I'm getting my tranny rebuilt and i also ordering an ls7 clutch. Im wondering if the ls7 clutch is overkill on a fairly stock ls-1. Right now my supporting mods are slp lid and smooth bellows. But im planning doing full bolt-on.

I just got my car back today.I had the ls7 clutch installed in my 01 ss. right now my car is mostly stock. i will be doing heads & cam in the spring,i wuold like to see 430-470 rwhp

Is it more expensive than an LS6 clutch? Because an LS6 is a GREAT clutch for a car with just bolt-ons. Holds great and lasts forever if you know how to drive.

I only drove the car about 10 miles. straight home to the garage. it will be in storage until april. Minnesota winters suck.
