how much money you budgeting for a clutch? i just bought a oz700 but havent put it in yet. so i wont recommend that one untill i got it in my car and see what its about. there's always Ram, exedy, luk, LS7, Mcloud and some others. im sure you have seached and there are good and bad with every clutch on the market. you just have to weight the pro's and con's and see what falls in your price range, and see what your willing to take a "risk" on. i know that doesnt answer your question of "whats a good clutch to handle around 550rwhp" but everyone is gonna have there own opinion. hope you find what your looking for, and whatever you get tell us how it goes.

reviews+cost+what im willing to risk= this clutch.

How many mile's do you have on your clutch right now? I just installed my OZ700SB on sat.(have about 7 miles on it), its raining here. And I can't believe how light the clutch feels. Love it so far but not much to base anythong on yet, lol.

My next door neighbor helped me install my Textralia clutch. I sat in the passenger seat watching the HPtuners datalog while he did the initial test drive. I was going to do a mild break-in, but as soon as we got onto good pavement he did a 4000rpm clutch dump. Several 2500-6000rpm clutch dumps and a few 3-4000rpm slips happened during the test drive...So much for a break in period. So far after 7000miles,the clutch still works flawlessly. BTW, this is in a 4k lb GTO with 600+ftlbs. on 285/35/18 Nitto DR.

I'm running a Ram VDS-910 w/ alum flywheel and haven't had any problems with a few thousand miles and several track passes. My RWHP is right at 500 and normally do over 5.5K dumps with slicks at the track. Altough I have no complaints about it at all, if for some reason it does go out I will try the tex just to see if I like it.

wow that sure reasures me. Young, strange is supposed to ship out my 12bolt some time this month. So I'll probably have to wait for the rear to break in as well before I take it to that track. And then I'm really going to give it a test drive. I will post up once I get to test it out. Oh and 2000LS1M6 if you decide to get a textrailia I highly recommend dealing with Young Byun from BYUNSPEED.com. He's a good guy and processed my order fast.

I don't care if you were joking. I've never asked anyone for warranty replacement on a part that failed because I abused it. Thanks to my friend next door, I have definitely abused the clutch. Lucky for me it seems to take all the abuse I can throw at it.
