Short throw and tight on a vette but not a camaro. Go figure. I thought the Hurst, don't know which model, was worse.

I have the factory upgraded short throw hurst. So far no complaints. I havent missed a gear since I was learning to drive stick with it a few months ago. I'd love to try another shifter because many people say they liked this vs that, etc but the only problem is theres too much of a risk in me plunking down $150 for a new shifter and me not liking it as much as the old one. If only some website would let you test out their shifters with no strings attached for a few days....

going to go with the B&M Ripper ... had one on my 3rdgen years ago and loved the hell out of it, very crisp and tight, never had any problems with it... looking forward to putting one on the SS soon...

should be better than my stock shifter

I have the stock Hurst short throw, and I like it alot. Feels very solid and I don't have any trouble with the 2-3 shift. I guess since I was used to my long, ropey, stock shifter in my 95 Camaro anythings easy to slam gears in now . I also drove a car with the Pro 5.0 in it, and personally didn't like the feel of it very much, but thats just me.

I installed my Hurst Billit Plus w/chrome short stick and T-handle. I love it, I left the console out along with the rubber boot, i can actually see the tranny, it sounds great, just like an old '69 rock crusher. Now I have a real hot rod!!!!

I remember back from my Mustang days, that everyone was was talking about MGW shifters and how they have the shortest throws and feel like a very solid piece, has anyone heard anything about those? They make them for the T56, for the Viper I think.

I have the Pro 5.0 with the UMI short stick and I love the feel and have no issues with noise.

I have a pro 5.0 on a T5 and I've noticed its really notchy, i do enjoy it I guess but i would like to try a B&M. This might sound bad but I swear i think I could speedshift the stock one much faster b/c it felt smoother. I like shifters when they throw it into gear smoothe as glass is that how the B&M Feels?

wow, there is a lot of Pro5.0 hate here, damn. I understand that doesnt change the BS you guys went through with them, but the ratio of problems to success is ridiculous... Can the STANG handle be used on our T56 base? (Pro5.0)
