How is this clutch with 3.42's and stock 02 hydraulics? Can I better a 1.99 60' with Nittos and this clutch by clipping at a high(er) RPM?

My spec clutch sucks ***... The damn thing engages like ****. I will say that it does hold good though. I have sprayed a 150 NX wet shot at it and no slip. Spend your money on the Ram VDS or the Cartek.

I've got the Spec Stage III with carbon material. I took it to the track after break in and while I didn't notice that it was slipping those on the line did.

So, I finally got it apart today and it was dry as a bone - I thought there may have been some fluid leaking from the slave or the rear main seal. The material on the plate looked like it was gouged or ripped off. You can see pics at http://home.bellsouth.net/p/PWP-flaminta

I don't expect any problems with getting a new one and probably only have to pay shipping. Except for this I have been happy with the clutch.

i love my spec stage 3 w/ceramic
YOU MUST UPGRADE THE HYDRALICS TO THE 01-02 STUFF

THE clutch pkg comes with a new steel flywheel and is about just under $500

I have a stage III as well. Just ran at the track with BFG's and cut a few 1.8's. Had to dump the clutch at about 5,000. With the stock clutch it would cut a little better 60's but then when I would hit 2nd gear it would spin. Now on the launch the star clutch sticks and the tires stick so the car bogs. Ohh well I guess it is time to get rid of the 3.42's. One last thing the clutch has almost 10k on it.

I've got a '99 with the Spec Stage 2. It's got about 2,000 miles on it. My hydraulics are stock. What happens if you don't upgrade to the '01 '02 hydraulics.

Thanks!

you MAY have release issues. but it is a really good idea to replace the slave while you have the trans out anyways.

I've got the '01-'02 slave and adjustable master just didn't no if there was anything else I need.

I keep burning up throw-out bearings. I don't think my master is adjusted properly. Can I just turn the adjustment nut to adjust it with out bleeding. If so which way do I need to turn it to raise my clutch off the floor.

Thanks guys!
