Wanted to know if it is worth the money to get the Pro 5.0 shifter. And how good is it? Thanks

the pro 5.0 is a great mod and worth the money.you can feel how strong it is,smooth and it don't over shift.the best part is hitting 3rd is a breez,i've tried the ripper and like the 5.0 better. goodluck

YES! It falls into the top 5 list of things I would do if I started over with the car!

It smooths out and makes shifting more positive. If you have access to a grinder, you can cut about half the threads off thus making it even shorter.

You can use a hacksaw to cut off the threads too. Great shifter and a lot better than either stock shifters

I installed my Pro 5.0 shifter about two weeks ago and love it! If I would have known how nice it shifted I would have installed it along time ago. FYI, the instructions tell you to cut the shifter boot to fit around the bottom of the Pro 5.0 shifter. I didn't do that. I just made it fit the best I could without cutting it and haven't had any problems.

YES ITS WORTH THE MONEY. I INSTALLED MINES COUPLE OF DAYS AGO. I LOVE IT. POWERSHIFTING IS ALOT EASIER. ORDERED MINES WITH THE SHORT STICK FROM SPEED INC.

Agreed, I have one cut off 2" and it is just about perfect.

I've got an aftermarket Hurst shifter(not the stock ordered one), and I love it, is there a difference?, mine is pointed towards the driver and the shifts are very short! 100 times better than stock!

The regular 5.0 rod is also, the short stick is strait.
