I think its like 13-14% loss thru manual and upwards of 18-20% on autos.

A friend of mine recently did an M6 to A4 swap on his 00 T/A. He lost a hair over 5 HP with the auto. I was surprised at the numbers, I thought it would have been a lot more.

The A4 doesn't loose that much compared. Especially if the converter is locked and it's in 3rd.

I cannot say exactly but every car is different. I've seen people say anywhere from 8-15% for the manual. Only real way to know is an engine dyno and a chassis dyno but even then you run into dyno variance.

8-15% huh? I was just trying to figure my flywheel horsepower to order some injectors (I am @98% now) so I guess I will 15% then?

I would be looking at the LAMDA number If your engine makes power under a full load on the dyno and you are not lean I would say you are in the spec for the injector. You got 98% full capacity as a high value in you Data. or can you watch the injector cycle as you make the dyno pull?

What injectors are you running now? For most stock cube built motors the ls3 injectors are plenty. I'm at ~430rwhp and my injectors max at 65%. FI will certainly need more.

Ideally you don't want to go over 80%.

I am sorry. But I wish that I understood what you just wrote.

The LS3's are plenty for 450rwhp. If you were over 500rwhp I'd suggest something bigger.

How many pounds are LS3's? and do they fit LS1's with no mods?

42lbs and they need adapters and possibly pig tails.

FIC carries both

Adapters and pig tails? Why would you want LS3's compaired to say some FIC 42 lbs or some F.A.S.T. one's?

I got my LS3's off eBay for $120 with 1200 miles. People are selling them on there all the time.
Adapters and pigtails were needed but I still saved $100-150 over aftermarket options.

Keep in mind they are 42lb@58psi.

Adapters are 15ish and pigtails are 12ish IIRC. I bought a set of LS3s for 90. New set of 42s from FIC would run 300+ depending on sales and whatnot.

Are you saying 27ish for the set of 8 (pigtails & adapters) plus about 100 for the injectors?

No, pigtails are 27, adapters are about 80 and 120 for the injectors.

you can send FIC your injectors and have them resized for around $200. cheepest and best way to go IMO.

I've heard about 5-12% thru a manual and 9-16% thru a auto
