Default Clutch experts: Question on installing used Twin Disk setup?

I recently purchased a used twin disk setup from a boardmember and have some install related questions for those who have clutch install experience.

First off the cluth only had a few hundred miles on it (15 passes at the track). The flywheel looks fine except for some bluish areas. Does this need resurfacing?

The bolts on the pressure plate are loose. When im ready to install everything what torque specs should these nuts be torqued to? Should I use Locktite on these?

Next, im gonna run the mcleod adj master. Do I need to use shims?? If so is it going to be a pain because the clutch has wear on it already?
^**This is the part im worried about**^

Any tips for the install are appreciated. Oh and i read the mcleod single disk install on install university so I have a pretty good understanding of what i have to do.

Thanks

You shouldnt need any shims. I HIGHLY recommend bench bleeding that master. Take out the master with reseviour. Fill the resevior with fluid. Pump that master like a bitch. Hold it down and then bleed the line, bring the piston back up. Do that for about 20 minutes until you cant push down on that piston at all. Then put it all back in the car and it should work the first time.

Yes, Im gonna bench bleed it like you said. I bought a new slave for the clutch as well even though mine has only 6k miles on it. Thanks for the reply!

mine had real thin washers that went between the flywheel and the second plate (between both clutch disks.

Ah yes, those washers are indeed there. Another question..If I resurface the aluminum flywheel will it need to be reshimmed? Id imagine it would need a thicker shim, correct?

there should be shims on it already between the first plate and the flywheel. Make sure you use RED locktite on those bolts. Also its going to to be a pain to get the trans all the way in, for some reason it gets hung up on the second disk and you have to actually squeeze the trans onto the bellhousing. Another thing, on install university it says to slide the trans from the bellhousing and then unbolt the slave/TO bearing. Forget that, disconnect it at the quick disconnect fitting and leave it bolted to the trans. I'll try to remember to grab the torque specs when i'm in the garage.

ok cool, thanks for the heads up on the slave tip. I didn't mention that this is the aluminum flywheel twin disc setup. I don't remember seeing any shims when I had the pressure plate off, unless you mean the metal plate that sits in between the two discs. I'll check again tonight. What am I looking for exactly.
