man all I can say is that I have a B&M and I Am in the process of getting A stock one to put back in cause of all the noise. At least I think it is a B&M in my car It was installed when I bought my car. all I know is that it has a blue base.

I had the B&M, never again. Hurst or the Pro 5 work great, I'm running the hurst.

Default shifter

+1 for the pro 5.0 its a little noiser than the stock but alot stronger w/ adj. stop. i love mine ,but hated it at 1st cause of the noise. all i did to fix it was made my own gasket from the cork gasket paper and solved 98% of the noise . awsome shifter

Default shifter!

+1 for my hurst. I agree they are a bit noisier than stock but with performance being number one in mind, I can swallow the little bits. Plus, I can always try that cork gasket. Seems like it would help some.

I'm running Pro 5.0, it works great, so that's my vote. Although I never tried the others.

My vote is for the hurst billit plus, it has a very smooth engagement and feels very positive...my only complaint is that the handle is kind of long and gets in the way of my DVD player(I know, I know, its a hard life), so I think I am going to cut the shaft down 1 1/2" or so and weld it back together.

i like my pro 5.0 alright....but i'm thinking about switching to a hurst billet. my buddy's mustang's factory hurst shifter is the **** and i want something like that in my car...it's really tight with short throws and feels very mechanical. it doesn't feel like there's any cushioning or padding when you slam it around either...if that makes any sense....

...has anyone had both the pro 5.0 and the hurst? which did you like better?

Had the B&M for over a year and tried to the Pro 5.0 not too long ago. I like the feel of it way more.

I had a b&m in my z28 and I had problems hitting 3rd under higher rpms and decided to switch to a hurst billet and I never had that problem again. I have also heard nothing but good things about the pro 5.0.
