2008 Shop Info: What you guys want to know about Pricing, In house options and MORE!! Guys,
I have had a request from guys that want to know the following questions:
1. What is your lead time. On anything we stock (the only thing we don't stock are custom gear sets) it is 1-2 business days which does not include shipping time. Face Plated trans take$ 5-7 business days but we have enough to do 7 at all times. That is a very popular product we offer.
2. Will you PRICE MATCH? YES. However you must have a written estimate so we have something to go by. Some people don't know what the pricing should be and I am happy to give you an opinion. Just call the office and we will take care of the hard part. If you are not in our area and can't have down time, we work with several good builders (one is a sponsor here) and can send you to them.
3. Does everything get done in house? Yes except mikroniting. We purchase all of our parts and have enough to build 20 units at all time except cores unless they are in stock. We do all Face Plating, Viper Conversions and modifications in house. We have a full machine shop with 6 full time employees including myself. Our machine shop can do everything from Welding housings, to custom machining conversions to Face plating. There are only 3 place that face plate gears in house and we are one of them.
4. What shipping method do you prefer? We started using Yellow Freight and they have been awesome. While it could take a little longer to get to you it arrives SAFE and SOUND and that is all that matters.
5. What services do you offer? We do custom in house machining of gears, Face Plating, In house Viper Conversions, In house builds, Custom transmissions for everything from V6 Conversions (yes we are doing a T56 into a V6 camaro) to custom offered gear sets from PPG. We all sell every T56 part from Stock to Aftermarket.
6. Anything new for 2008? Yes we have Billet 1-2 Forks and Billet 3-4 Forks we will be offering next month. Pricing is still in the air but I will have more information for you later.
7. We sell EVERY PART for the T56 transmission? That is correct we have increased our Parts inventory to handle enough parts to sell 15 transmission rebuilds. We just got our stock today and have all small parts, housings, and gears.
8. What is your HP rating on your rebuilds and what is the warranty? We offer a 700RHWP and 700RWTQ on ANY of our rebuilds. That is from stage 1A to 4A. Some of our rebuilds will even hold more than that. We offer a 1 year warranty that does not have a mileage cap. All of our packages are designed to handle that power even if you have a 4500lb Taheo or a 2700lb RX7. We have designed these and use our knowledge to get you the most HP rating. That is why our setups are hand chosen and we have build sheets for everything. We setup all clearances and check EVERY part for wear, issues and future problems that could arise.
I will be updating the website this week with all of the parts we will sell as well as all of the new parts we will have.
Thanks to all of the customers that made 2007 our biggest year yet. We officially built 1179 transmissions since our opening day 3 years ago (that figure is as of last friday). We anticipate this year will be even bigger and better with the help of our customers.

Ive been reading about SSI for a while now and if my future M6 ever needs anything Im driving from SA to Houston to get the work done. Everything I read is great.

HAHAHA Amber I was like how the hell do you know my fiance's name and how is she helping you!!! Im an idiot. I guess these overnight shifts are really getting to me.

My only regret in getting my trans fixed with you guys is that I didn't have the GTO gears swapped in at that time. It would have been nice to have the better first and second gear ratios.
