Default JSS installed.....wow

I finally broke down and bought a short stick for my hurst. I remembered a guy named jarrod that made them for $20 and supposedly outdid lou's and cost half as much. Quality and craftsmanship looked excellent and after installation...wow. I would recommend this mod to anyone who wants better shifts for super cheap.

He can be reached at jarrodholland@hotmail.com

Here's some more pics of both short sticks.

Stock Hurst Stick on the left, Lou's in the middle and Jarod's on the right:

The last pic shows the rubber isolator found in the stock sticks. This is the big reason why the factory Hurst feels so loose.

JSS is 1/2" longer than LSS
Both short sticks come with same size of bolts
JSS has locking nuts for added clamping
LSS is a little thicker and has a slight bend to it which angles away from the driver.

ok. i 'm sold on the short sticks but will this mod void my factory warranty ?
I have read both yes and no on this subject and on this particular mod. Even the dealer can't give u a straight answer. They say "it all depends on the damage".
Any thoughts.

if youre using the short stick on a stock shifter (hurst or non hurst) then i dont see how they can void warranty. You are still using the tranny's built in stops, and havent messed with the mechanism in any way, shape or form.

I'd just install the stock stick back on before taking it to the dealer. Only takes 5 minutes and it will give the dealer no reason to void anything. Thats the beauty of short sticks. Very easy to install.

I asked about my shifter and he said no, it would not void my warranty.

Would the 1/2 difference in height cause LSS to have shorter throws then the JSS. I know you can cut the JSS if you want. Just wondering if the 1/2 in. difference is negligible

I doubt you'll notice a difference. I've had both LSS and JSS, and I can barely tell the difference when shifting. Not sure about the Quik Stick though.
