Default rebuild pictures for your Mcleod Adj. Master... need help

i tore my adj. master apart as it stopped working??? oh well. i installed a new 13/16" cup seal, the exact same part that came in the unit, but still no pressure????

any tips guys, especially if you have done this before successfully. I didn't change the thin O ring on the top piston, although it is in excellent shape.

are there any other parts that need to be replaced in this case as well?

pictures would be great if you have them. thanks!

when i replaced mine with a rebuild kit, it came with an O ring, the piston and a new spring. You put the new piston in the unit and reinstlaled it and you still have no pressure? are you bench bleeding it or is the mc now in the car?

I highly recommend you hone the cylinder out as well. Use a wheel cylinder hone with some fine grit stones.
Use brake fluid on the stones/bore & hone it out well. Then clean & reassemble.

actually i just put in a new cup seal, because it stopped working all of a sudden! wtf, lol!!!! i will look into a b/n complete rebuild kit monday morning!!!

i swapped in a stock unit and it works as well as a stock unit can. i bench tested it first, it seemed fine, but how much pressure can i apply o a bench vise with my hand, versus in the car with a foot.

aer these rebuild kits in stock at some of the sponsors? i noticed Thunder carries them, anyone else????

thanks!

i guess i could send it out if it needs honing??? if it is that critical to do then i guess i would need to do it.

thunder racing has them on their site but when i called a while back it took 2 weeks for them to tell me they were back ordered. So i called Mcleod and ordered it. However they did change the design of the MC a while back so the rebuild kit is a bit different. The braided line is a bit bigger and theres some difference with seals and such so make sure they send you the right one.

You can hone it yourself. Just get a wheel cylinder hone & use a drill. Pretty simple process.

Yeah, a wheel cylinder hone only costs like $10. Easy to do with a drill, takes all of 10 minutes.

i spoek to Lee today at mcleod. he said the rebuild kits were no longer available as their new design is coming soon, next few weeks.

well honing is definitely easy enough. i am going to wait to see if i can get the rebuild kit from somewhere else. i guess??? never hurts to have a spare.
