I got a detail from a shop that shall remain nameless but non the less I am pretty pissed at the job said shop did.
Who here as a PC uses LC Pads and SIP with Menzerna stuff?
All the post I see in the tech section is people using this stuff and their paint comes out flawless... My car is not in bad shape, garage kept pretty musch every day, stored in the winter hasn't seen rain since 2005
Anyways here is my thread in the Appearence section.. really pissed about my detail. Can someone detail my car. I will gladly help you do it. I want to learn this before I buy my own stuff
Thanks

PC lc pads and menzerna was used for both cars...........i can show you more of my work if you would like.
as a vote of confidence, if you bought a PC pads and polish, you wont harm the paint. a DA polisher will not burn the paint like a rotary, but that doesnt mean you can be an idiot.
i'd be willing to help out if you havent already had too many offers,

But when I had it deatailed last season I couldn't tell ya. I know it was clay bared.. At least I think. My paint is very smooth to begin with. I know the guy said that he used a sealant
What's the difference between a wax and sealant?

wax is usually "natural" made with carnaubas, these will create a deeper shine.
sealants are synthetic polymers, will still provide a glossy shine, and usually last longer ( more durable) than a wax.
now thats not always true, there are some awesome carnuaba "waxes" that will last a long time, but rule of thumb is that they need to be reapplied more often.
its usually personal preference, i like wolfgang concourse sealant on my camaro,
beads quite nicely and it creates good depth and is slick as **** when freshly applied. then again, my camaro is garaged and no longer sees bad weather.
i like using carnauba moose wax by clearkote on my 09 frontier, it protects really well and is killer on black !

chances are your alternator is fine...there was just a loose connection somewhere. i know the 98s have the excitor wire resistor in the gauge cluster (so if you pull the cluster, circuit isn't compelte and alt won't charge). maybe the later years had something similar as an anti-theft device or plain stupidity. Keep on truckin dude.
