Default No Plate Ticket

Got a ticket for no front plate on my Camaro with the SLP SS Grille. It was in Cuyahoga Falls, right by route 8. Looks to be about a $90 fine...

Just giving a heads up, first trouble I have had with the missing front plate in 3 years.

welcome to the group. I got a ticket in nov. in Brooklyn, and I had a plate on it. The cop told me to take it up with the judge. The cop wouldn't even stand in front of the car. He told me that he wasn't going to get under the car. The law is vague, it states that it has to be displayed on the front of the vehical. In the automobile world, anything forward of the windshield is considered the front of the vehical! If you have the time and energy, fight it!

Same place I had mine on my 94 Z.

Wonder how much money Ohio would save by not making two plates mandatory???

Cops should not waste our money with frivolous tickets, therefore:

If it's the law and you're breaking that law, how are you going to talk down on the cop for writing you a ticket?

I don't run a front plate and I know the risk I'm taking by doing so. It's rarely enforced (unless it's a State Trooper,) so I take my chances. I'm not going to cry about it and feel like I got screwed when/if I get a ticket.

Thats surprising since falls cops usually don't care. I've never had an issue though, cops see my car all the time so maybe I'm lucky.

This is why I run a front plate all the time.. I know it looks horrible but its one less thing they can mess with you for.

I've actually been told by a bunch of people that in Illinois once you get your new plate stickers a front plate isn't necessary anymore. Anyone hear about that?
