Default whats up with my car?

i went to start my car and all of a sudden the idle drops and when i go to give it gas it wont let me... then the car fires up again and u can smell the fuel just being burned heavily and you can hear the motor suckin in massive amounts of air. i changed the fuel pump but what else could this be?

Try cleaning ur MAF and see if u need a new air filter

i wouldnt put money on it but i would say the maf....like above haha

If you are getting an SES light, it might be an O2 Sensor problem.

yeah u will have a SES light if u have 02 problems, but it is prolly not the 02 itself it is prolly another problem with the car, start with cleaning the MAF

02's shouldn't be the problem on initial start up until the engine warms up a bit. Bob

the car is throwing no codes what so ever.. it starts up right away everytime but it seems to happen a few mintues after start up.. i ordered a new maf today and they said by tuesday it will be here so ill let you know if that was the problem.

Why not try cleaning the MAF first? No point in buying one if the current one just needs cleaned.

yeah but i want to be a full bolt on car anyway and i was planning on ordering one sooner or later.
