i've lived in ames for a several years and every winter i hate this town...city never seems to be out sanding or plowing, basically lacking any sort of road maintenance during winter.

roads were pretty dicey this afternoon....

Yeah, no crap Zeus, I was skating all over the place in the Iroc on lincoln way, didn't know if I was actually going to be able to pull away from some of the stop lights, let alone stop for them I then went back out about 6ish, in the STS caddy, and that thing made the roads look fine. But yeah, the whole time i was out, didn't see a single city plow or salt truck.. The roads there where crappy. I drove up from Des Moines around 4ish, and man, you could tell the closer I got to Ames that they didn't give a crap about the roads. Now I just wish I could have my truck back together.

Guys, whats up? Been a long time since I have visited. 16 credits this semester and there has been no time for myself, let alone the forums. Looks like a lot has happened and I have missed a few things. Season is over and I am guessing there are not to many plans, but if anyone is getting together or something I will try to view this more often again. Damn I can not wait for school to be done.....

I always hate this time of year. Its been a month and I already miss my car. Any of you guys have any big plans for this spring? It'd be nice to actually get a group to head out in the spring time to eddyville or cedar falls. I'm getting my wheels powder coated a nice gunmetal and keeping a silver lip. Also I'm getting bigger injectors with a new NX kit. I'd love to upgrade the turbo but for driving around town the lag is perfect. Hopefully talking my friend TJ into supercharging his GTO. I always feel guilty because I'm the Toyota guy that browses domestic forums and hangs out with V8 guys haha.

a buddy of mine has an import(i haven't seen it cuz we just recently got to know each other) who says it runs 11.6s. he wants me to come down to cedar falls with him...he'd blow my doors off, haha. it'd be cool to have a few of you guys meet us down there so someone else can show him what a REAL car can do, lol

+2 for missing the car. I dislike winter strongly also the short days! I had to go take a look at mine the other day and check all the mouse traps to make sure theres still poison in them. I honestly don't miss my car, I trip over its parts every time I go to the garage. I also see it everytime I go into the garage, I start it up from time to time just see what else has broke on it
