I ran one pass, It felt real good, no miss up top, and hooked hard. I was racing Brett and the time slips didnt comeout right just showed my margin of victory.
They say I only ran a 8.004 but Brett ran 9.1-9.2 all day and I beat him by 1.5 seconds, so its kinda hard to believe that Pass was only a 8.0 pass.

Austin, I'd say you got screwed on your last pass. Every one of my passes was either a 9.1 or a 9.2 and if the margin was 1.5 seconds I would say you were definately in the 7's. I think it was something to do with them rebooting the system before we went.
It was a good time today, but I probably wont go back to race unless I have slicks or drag radials. I was running about one second slower at Newton today than I do at Eddyville. Spinning through 1st, 2nd and part of 3rd isn't much fun.

Yeah I could have probably ran faster times if my car was bone stock haha. Tried about everything from leaving off idle, half throttle in 1st, even leaving the line in 2nd gear but nothing seemed to work.
The guys running awd cars or cars with slicks seemed to do pretty well.

I guess I am running different tires....HA
MS4
PRC Stage 1 heads
all the bolt ons and supporting mods
narrowed midwest 9"
4.30 gears
Still rockin stock suspension that doesn't transfer worth a ****. That's going to change this winter. Want to try some straight up slicks too. At an actual strip I can pull the drivers tire but quickly falls on its face and ends with wheel spin. Also have to address the oil burning issue which I'm pretty sure is the valve seals. At least I'm hoping.
Now at Newton nothing could make me hook if I wanted. There's was no point in trying to launch. Basicly a 2k drop and things would still spin. Second gear is always a blast though! Everyone with street tires had no chance for a decent run. Well except maybe that brown cavalier. I believe it dead hooked.
Then the Evo... license plate V8SRSLW....made me chuckle. For the life of me I couldn't figure out why I flew by him so fast at the top of second? After reviewing the video I can hear he hit the rev limiter. That thing can straight up get her done out of the hole. He had a good car on me by the end of first. Maybe almost a car and a half. But in second gear I was starting to catch him before he bounced the limiter. He claims 480 to the wheels and the turbo setup is capable of 700-800 so in the future it could be a scary setup? I'm no where near the 480 so ????? He wanted to run again for $50 at first. Maybe he was joking around but I'm not a betting man anyways. Didn't stick around much longer after that as my tires were nearing their end and the wait was long.
I believe I ran 7.9's with 1.8-9 sixties all three times. So I was consistantly slow. Should be a good half second quicker. Hopefully the suspension does the trick. It was a good time and got to meet a few of ya again. I guess I should get first names down. I get in the habit of screen names.

yeah that car has mid/low 7's in it FOR SURE! nice setup! badass cam, heads, rear, etc..
did you take the front sway bar out? i have completely stock suspension as well and i removed mine at the track and i had much better weight transfer and 60's with it out...and i took the car for a 3+ hour 3/4 tank backcountry twistie drive and it did feel "loose" but it wasnt bad at all with it out, its not a bad trade off..

Anyone interested in a trip to Cordova for the MFBA rental? I'm the defending bracket champ of the event & I feel like I need to defend my crown. (if the weather is decent!)
