first off, M9 is a waste of money. Pick up a good used 9 inch, S60, or midwest fab 9 for much less. Your going to have to buy a used forged shortblock also, or stay small cubes to stay under your 10k budget. Hell, rear, procharger and clutch alone will run you 10 grand if you buy new...... Then toss a GOOD tune on top of that, and your not getting it done for under 10 :-)

$10,000 is practical for a rear-end with mike's deal , & a d1sc at mike's deal , and tsp forged 347's are cheap at ~$1500. He'll be right around the $10k mark
Do the tranny later. You have lower mileage on it and I see a lot of guys running 9's/10's on stock t56's. Those bastards are strong.
As far as what Mike says, he told me he was getting a 70 Monte Carlo with a 383 stroker.. I didn't believe him... he got it... He told me he was getting a 00 Camaro SS SLP.. I called BS.. he got it.. He told me he was getting heads/cam/intake/full exhaust for his Camaro.. I called bullshit.. guess what.. he got it...
I do not have reason to doubt he will get all of this stuff when hes back spring/summer and still whooping on my slow lt1

in reality the car will help pay for its self.... for example i will be able to see some of the things that i pull of the car like the prc's and sell them and then i can also sell my cam. yes i understand it was a waste of money but i just wanted to do something different.

Mike won't switch to an auto.. I know him too well.
And Andy You just seem to have horrible luck with your car! A rebuild at 30k? Damn I always thought those damn things were strong! My auto died at ~101,300 miles with just shortys, gears, catback, minor suspension... Talk about weak ****! Front pump went out.. Could have fixed.. but I just went with the built one instead

Mightymike2000ss if your looking for a forged bottom end i'm pulling mine out in the next month going to the 408c.i. If your wanting to save a little it has 1500 or so miles on it. Good luck on your build to. I went through the same thing last year and going through it this year. Take the price your planning on spending and double it.
