Here's an update: Went to Cordova dragway for some 1/4 mile times since all the new setup and to compete in the fastest domestic & import shootouts and to my surprise I ended up winning it w/ a 10.92 lol – Anyway, I left at 1500 on footbrake & not using the 2 step all night and most of the runs I swear the rear brakes were on the line except for the 3rd motor pass and the last 2 N20 passes.
1 other thing, I was going through the 1/4 mile lights about 6400 according to the tach on the N20 and it was kinda fluttering or breaking up but the wide band looked great so i'm not 100% sure what that would be but I’m going to pull the plugs and check it out. One thing I wondered is, will my car shift into 4th @ WOT? The reason I ask is I stayed on it through the lights just to see if it would shift and it never did and if I ever get the converter to start working like it should I’m pretty sure I need 4th in the 1/4.
On motor 1.91 60’ – 7.65 @ 95 & 11.82 @ 118
On motor 1.87 60’ – 7.64 @ 93 & 11.82 @ 118
On motor 1.78 60’ – 7.53 @ 93 & 11.70 @ 119
On N20 right from line 1.89 60’ – 7.59 @ 99 & 11.48 @ 127 – Spun
On N20 right from line 1.97 60’ – 7.58 @ 99 & 11.46 @ 127 – Spun
On N20 using progressive controller 1.70 60’ – 7.07 @ 101 & 10.93 @ 127
On N20 using progressive controller 1.68 60’ – 7.06 @ 100 & 10.92 @ 127
If you want a good time and want to compete with some fast cars, Cordova on the Midnight race is the place to be. 200+ cars and tons of people, not to mention the chicks were good too
FYI, anyone going to Eddyville Friday night & Cedar Falls Saturday night for the Midnight races? I know of a few of us are going to both. LETS GET A BIG GROUP OF US TO CEDAR FALLS!!!!

Nice, gotta love the consistency of an auto!

Excellent times man! Congrats on the win and getting into 10's. I'd think you would want to avoid hitting your overdrive if at all possible. What is your limiter set at? I would think you could hit 6600 on stock rod bolts, which would give you 131 MPH on a 26" tire. You could push 6800 and get to 135 MPH.
I know when I drove a friends 4.10 LT1 Fbody at Tri State it felt like you were crawling if you had to use 5th.

Congrats again Eric. Im really looking forward to friday and saturday. Hopefully my new suspension stops the spinning and I can hook and go 7.1-7.2 on motor at eddyville.
I've e-mailed Nitrous Outlet for instructions on my kit. Hoping to hear back from them today to get my kit.
I have everything for it except a digital 6 or mallory 685 box to retard timing. I think on a 100 shot I should see 6.7-6.80's Later this year.

Yeah that was me. I actually came up to you and brian(oh2LE) when I got there next to his dads vette. His dad's vette did alright. It was a good show but I got beat by 2 2010 camaro's. It kinda sucks the class year range we where in.

Yeah Larry @ Speed inc said the samething about OD, don't use it. The rev limiter is at 7k and it hits 6800 alot lol, hopefully it continues to do it lol.
355, i agree about the times with the suspension and the N20 6.70-6.80's are right around the corner for ya, of course so is the 6 point cage, 5 point, & jacket lol - You think that converter will slip even more on the top end with the spray?

the other car is starting to come along though, if i get a 383 screwed together this winter i'm hoping to be going way low 6's if not in the 5's

Sorry to bring to this your attention, I know some of you may be jealous, but I feel its necessary...
Yesturday was a good day. After drilling 30+ holes in the body and attaching several thousand dollars worth of carbon fiber, I managed to get behind the wheel of a 2011 ZR1. Price tag? $125k. It had 9 miles on it when I started and about 16 when I was done. WOW is all I can say. I've been behind the wheel of 750RWHP cars but this thing is truly amazing. Thats all I have to say about that.

The ZR1 makes me wish I was rich. One flew past me the other night on my way back up to Ames.
I managed to mess around with one of my dad's co-workers who bought the 2011 z06 black/black with the new louder exhaust they have from the factory this past weekend with my LT1 and omg those things even from the factory sound mean!

Not having anything to race right now is killing me, I haven't been to a drag strip since Hot Rod Power Tour & I haven't gotten to make any passes this season.
I just pulled a stack of time slips off of the bottom shelf of my desk, they date back a ways. Cedar Falls, Eddyville, TriState, KCIR, Gateway, Cordova, & Indy Raceway Park. A lot of memories in that pile of paper!!!

Jason, how is the mustang coming along? We need to meet up sometime so I can get that Diablo back to you. It has been sitting on my shelf in my house for a while now, ha.
Dave and I ventured over to Bennigans last night after we succesfully installed his built LT1 T56 into my car. That place does suck. Anyhow, the trans shifts like butter again and the new Monster Stage 3 feels great. I am taking wagers on what is going to break next on my car...

The Mustang is under the knife, should be cool, when it is done....
