I have some Bosch and a few sets used OEM o2s I can try. I tried the new set of Bosch's but pulled them when it went back to doing it after 20 miles. The car is stock, except MSD wires, k&n fipk & a Dynomax muffler. I'd ditch the open element filter set up, but don't have a stock lower/radiator support cover. The o2 readings jump all over and it seems to have lots of part throttle knock retard when it is acting up & throwing the codes.

Well guys the car is gone. Met the new owner in Eagleville, MO tonight. I am thinking that a LS2 GTO is in my near future once I take care of some things.
Jason, have you tried another set of wires? I had some MSD's on my car at one time and it seemed to run a little rougher. Went back to my stock wires and it seemed to be much smoother. I have heard of MSD's sometimes causing problems. Just a thought.

Andy, the guy I bought the car from just put them on, but I won't rule that out. I think I might have enough wires around to put together a set. BTW, you will like a GTO, it will make you wonder why you kept the Camaro for so long.

Thank God I found one without the ricey wing. It's been a nice little car to drive around. I wish it rode a hair softer, but other than that I am very pleased with it. I'm glad I got one. Just wish the 4drs were more common. Factory stereo is pretty darn good and it's fun to have a stick to drive around again. The ricers in Ankeny seem to hate it. Had a handful rev at it.

Was your car Cobalt at Pella Motors? I saw a red one there with cobaltss.net stickers on the back side windows and thought maybe it was yours. I've heard that modding them can cause some issues that's why I kept mine stock. I'm also very easy on my car just trying to get the best gas mileage I can because I put on a lot of miles every week. I've went 40k with mine and havent put a dollar in it which I have been very happy with.

Well guys, Started on the new project for the winter. Got my hands on a 88 mustang with a ls6 in it. Just got done removing the headers and exhaust. Installing some truck manifolds and ran all the wiring for the gauges. Waiting on the turbo, pipes, intercooler and items to show up this week. Just gonna be a mild build. 8-12psi of boost hoping for high 6s and a fun street car.
Camaro Z. If your still wanting my drag wheels let me know.
Mattcossel29. Did you finally get your car done?
Unstang. How is the build coming with your turbo mustang?

What problems did you have? I saw a couple in the Ankeny area. There was an orange metallic one for sale in the strip mall that has Rat Shack in it. Saw another one on Autotrader posted shortly after I got mine. Were either of these yours? I looked at the Cobalt SS forums and they look to be pretty reliable overall.

I was out driving the Formula earlier and it was running sluggish & showing knock retard almost all the time. I unplugged the MAF, no more KR & it seemed to run the same with it unplugged. Swapped to a new MAF that I had and it is running good. Hopefully that was it!

Anybody looking for an older Firebird?
My dad is thinking about selling his 1993 Firebird Formula. It is an automatic with around 60,000 miles, my parents purchased it new in March of 1993 from Ramsey Pontiac in Des Moines. It is red with graphite interior. Car is in very good shape, I would rate the interior a 9 and the exterior a 7.5. It was garaged for parts of its life and it sits outside now. This is the reason for selling it. Only work ever performed on it was a new pinion seal early in its life and my dad and I replaced the opti spark. Has Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3's with maybe 5000 miles on them. Shoot me a PM if you or anyone you know is interested.

Just a couple months ago all these platforms were in the form of 20' long pieces of square tubing and a couple sheets of expanded metal. Good god I have a lot of time in these things. Still have the side platform supports and railing to complete then its off to powerdoating.
