yeah brother. Its got the MPH to go mid 11's with a decent short time :-) Makes me happy. George, with the black camaro with the 408/th400 combo went 11.0 at 126 on motor today and went 10.1 at 136 on a 150 hit. Cant get his 60 ft times below 1.59-1.61 though for some reason. I dont think its hitting the tire hard enough. Might need a bigger stall.

If anyone is interested, there's a car show this Sat the 10th at Centennial Elementary School in Altoona, right behind the Fareway. Here's the info on it.
May 10, 2008
1st Annual Car Show- Centennial Elementary School in Altoona
Time: 8am-2:00pm
Show Registration 9-Noon , judging from 12-2
Where: Centennial Elementary School in Altoona (Centennial Elementary School: I-80 to exit 143-South on 1st Street-Left on 8th Street-Right on
7th Ave SE-School 1 block on your right) It's right behind the Fareway.
Entry fee $15 , all proceeds from the event will go toward Centennial's balanced literacy program.
During judging of the show, trophies will be awarded for the top 25 cars, best interior, best in show, best engine, best paint, PTA pick, student pick, teacher pick and principal pick.
The trophies that will be awarded at the show are being assembled and designed by Centennial Elementary sixth-graders.
For more information on the Centennial Elementary Car Show or to register for the event see the attached pdf, http://www.se-polk.k12.ia.us/temp/car-show.pdf
I spoke with one of the organizers and as of last Monday there were 36 cars pre-entered and they have capacity for at least 150+. Everything from stock classics, pick-ups, modded cars, etc. have signed up already. Lots of trophies and they're going to have it that you can only win one trophy so more people have a chance to win. Some of the trophies are going to be porcelain cars from the movie "Cars" mounted on bases. The cars are banks and they're going to put 1 penny in each one.
Food will be provided by Hy-Vee and you get a food ticket as part of the entry fee. There will also be coffee and donuts in the AM. It starts at 9AM but there will be people there at 8AM if cars show up early.
I'm going and a couple of guys from the svtperformance forum are going as well. As of right now, the weather is supposed to be ok on Sat (mid-60's).

I wish I knew there was going to be some LS1 cars there today, weather was decent & I was bored all day.
Looks like it hooked way better than I hear the "House of Hook" was last night.

Good Numbers Rodney. Not bad for the first track time of the year, and isnt it a new engine package too from that last time running? I would like to get mine out to a track, im just affraid of the ol 10 bolt.......
Oh yea, school is out this week(damn you ISU), so hopefully I can make more (or make one, havent yet) of these meetings. Ill either ride down on the bike (not the Gix anymore, will be picking up my new bike next weekend!!!) or in the car if I can get it down here soon enough.

I tested the car at Eddyville and got the boot. So I went home and checked plugs and they looked good, but a little rich not to much tho. A couple friends had called and asked me to come up to CFR so I decided everything looked good so I headed up. Car ran good all the way there and ran 10.28 on my first pass. I noticed the car back fired a little bit when I let off the gas and my mph was down to 131 which I was expecting to trap over 135. I also was blowing blue smoke and when I popped the hood the car blew out the dipstick and blew the oil cap off.
Everyone was very helpfull and hauled my car to Eric's shop. He pulled the plugs and said they all looked good except number 1 was completely melted. I think it's a little weird that number 1 went lean, but none of the others. I'm pretty sure at the minimum I broke the ringlands on that cylinder. At this point I don't know what else I may have hurt.
I'll fill everyone in when I find out the damage.

Blowing blue smoke is more than likely rings. Dang man that sucks, but I don't think its going to take much to fix that part, but before I'd re ring it, I'd figure out why cylinder #1 went lean like that. You have a catch can and valve cover breather?
