Looks like its turing out to be a nice night out. Perfect weather for racing - the humidity. Is anyone else going to eddyville tonight? Wouldn't mind checking out a couple other rides.

But it is nice that it is warm & not raining! I can't make it tonight, bought a new house & we are invited to a party in the new hood....Maybe next time.

Yeah it was a pretty nice night out tonight, but really humid. We went to eddyville and it was my first time down a track, it was a rush. Had a best of 8.7xx at 85.xx mph with a 2.1 60 ft. time. I couldn't hook very well and when it would hook it would just bog way down. I REALLY need a good set of track wheels and tires, because I was just running my 18's with regular street radials a I think it hurt me alot. I think my car could run low 8's with a good 60 foot time on a better night but not sure. I Want to go up to cedar falls because stock 3.42 gears arn't very good for 1/8 mile but it was alot of fun.

Ya it was my first time too. It was alot of fun. The best I did was an 8.9 @ 81 mph and my 60ft was 2.1xx. The car just has an SLP airlid and i did have a problem hooking up i would bog down evertime after i took off. I don't know I think I should of tried just leaving at an idle to see if would be any better. I was nervous tho and hope to do a little better next time.

With bolt ons, before the cam, I ran a 8.32 at 88 with a 2.24 60" time 
and that was on drag radials. Track Prep kinda sucked that night, and it was about 38 degrees that night.

Yea, couldn't make it out either, got to be later before I remembered they were doing that, and its a good 1.5 hours from Ames...I would like to try making a pass or two, never done it in the car, just the bikes. Sounds like I would have had some fun, looks like we had a few other newbies to the track would have been nice.
I hate Iowa, weather is looking like **** for the week again, when Im done next year with my ME degree, Im leaving south, there is no other option!

I don't blame you! Sometimes I wish I would have never bought my house so it would be easier to just get up and move far far away from here. I also have over 10 years at my current job so it's hard to leave now(9 years of perfect attendance also). If I could go anywhere I would consider Texas or Florida because I hear the street racing scene is better there...lol.
