I just hope my car doesn't fall apart while going down the track. I have a feeling I'll lose some body panels from the quality collision resotration the previous owner so kindly performed.

Nice of you to come out of your cave you've been hiding in Dave...
And that sucks.... I'm sure it will hold up fine though.
So when do you plan on having it out on the streets??

I'm getting some Mickey's in 2 weeks man! Not the 15's or 16's that I want but I found a nice set of 18" c6 Vette wheels with MT's on them for a good deal and I can't pass them up. This way I'll have some flashy wheels and still have MORE grip when I decide to mash it. They'll hook good enough with the 18's not to tear up the rearend. (I hope) And then when I get the rearend, I'll get the 15" MT's on Prostars and go from there.

I should be more specific, and I apologize for failing to do so... but was this in wet, or dry pavement?

Nittos work pretty good from 50 to the speed limit I think. They are working better then my m/t's on the street.
Anyone else besides Purdue making some good power this year? Im kind of out of the loop.

It did feel fantastic on the dyno yesterday and pulling it on and off the trailer.
It still needs some work before it hits the SS.

I need to get longer torque arm bolts for the rear end, verify pinion angle on an alignment lift, change the fluid in the axle, figure whats going on with my bottle heater, and bleed the clutch a little more.
I can knock them all out in 1 day. I am just glad I have the car running before June this year.

Sounds good , Ben.
I've been out of commisoin most of the winter with a hernia in my stomack, so it's been slow on the car progress. Had my operation last week so I hope to get on it next weekend. Carlos is sumping my tank this week and I have everything else I need to start. Should be complete with the fuel system, then get her tuned and ready by the end of April. I HOPE!

i don't understand why you're so worried about the stock rear. automatic cars have no problem getting off the line without breaking stuff. i made i don't know how many 1.60-1.62 60' launches and the car was fine. granted i didn't let it wheelhop and one dem fancy covers. however, i don't think those 18" wheels have a snowball's chance in hell of hooking up, no matter what tire you're on.

BTW) Thanks for your oppinions I may consider them. I'd hate to buy 2 sets of wheels when I can do it right the first time you know!
