I am a resident of Naperville, IL.
I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good local transmission shop. I have taken pretty good care of my 99 Z28. However, lately the rear has been making a lot more of a whining sound than I am comfortable with when I am reversing, accelerating and turning. There have been no issues with performance at this point. However, I do not want the issue to escalate.
Toward the rear, I have Strano sway bars, a BMR panhard Rod, Eibach prokit springs, bilstein shocks, UMI subframe connectors, UMI single adj. LCA's and relocation brackets, all of which has been installed in the last year or two.
I would appreciate your comments if you guys have had any good experience with local shops.
Thanks.

Racin96SS, Good comments. I am not really sure how to diagnose the matter. How would I be able to tell if it is any one of these things? I am not a mechanic and have not really messed around with my car too much. Any thoughts on how I could check this out without biting the bullet and getting someone to look at it?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Do you have the stock ring gear or aftermarket gear? Is your posi still working?
Chuck and Vince build great transmissions but if your looking for rearend work thats not something they work on.
