Ben,

Get some Harland Sharp rebuilt stock rockers. They capture the bearings so they can't fail. I killed several rockers on my car before I swapped. No problems since. Decent prices too.

Nate cleaned it up best he could when he changed out the previous failed rocker. We didn't go to the extremety that should have been done and taken the oil pan off and everything though.

Thats probably what I'll do. There's only 1 GM dealer in town and they won't give me a service quote over the phone , they said they need to "look at it" first.

Hopefully changing the rockers and the oil will fix it... Hopefully this one didn't take anything else out with it

Just send your stockers to Harland Sharp and have them rebuilt! It's like $250. I would advise you NOT run the car with a broken rocker, only more damage WILL occur if you do! Take a bus or ride your bike. lol

As far as mean and uncalled for; there's a rule that I follow in life (and I believe most of this group follow in fact): "If it's mean, but it's funny, it's OK". It's a double edged sword and if you think Kenny, J-Rod, myself or any of us is above getting mocked on a regular basis, you're way off. You'll get ragged on hanging with this group, but everybody here takes abuse as well as they give it. That or they throw a fit and go home.

The problem is you really need to work on properly giving a burn. And no, that burning sensation when you pee does NOT count.

I only post when on my break. That's why I went home, the same as all the other posts when I told you guys to have a good day I'm going home.
I was warned about trying to get along with this group, or at least a select few. I apparently don't have the capacity to do so.

Alright I'm through...Wish you guys the best.

Well, I cut the oil filter to open it up and could see the oil filter in its entirety, it looked clean and free of any metal, so thats good at least... it gives me a little comfort not seeing more metal peices in there, so there still is a chance I can change out the rocker and roll the dice on making this old 105,000 mile LS1 last a while longer.

Yep, they were the original stock ones well, except for the one Nate replaced, which I think was with Mike's old one that had about 75,000 miles on it.

200 miles so far.. Seems to turn the Bridgestone's pretty easy. I'm pretty happy with it. Just too damn quiet.
