Steve Williams (FROST) is coming into FW to tune my car on July 1st (driveability) and 2nd (dyno @ CJ Racing in Auburn). I'll be doing a dual-tune PCM also. Pretty excited about it.

I can tell a big difference! You hit the brakes and you stopping no more brake fade or anything and they look awesome too!! Even better now that I have my wheels. Only down fall is u have to run a 18" in or bigger wheel which in my case wasn't a issue! They are kind of expensive too do also I had like close to a $1000 in mine.

Frost did my current tune via mail order. I was nervous about it, but, so far, the tune seems just fine. A little lean @ idle and tip in, but richens up fine under moderate load. Only one driveability issue so far. He doesn't have the converter locking up in 3rd at part throttle. Anything over 45 mph isn't very pleasant with that exhaust and higher rpms.

[QUOTE=CALL911;13467514]D, let me know how RPM does on your tranny (to my knowledge you are keeping your M6?) My Formula's M6 needs some TLC, and one day when I decide to spend the probable $1,000 on fixing it, I need to know who to take it to.
Well, here's the deal, I had to have all forward gears and reverse replaced (all chewed up) car showed no symptoms other than was having issues with 3rd gear synchro...that was after they replaced a broken key (trans stuck in 4th). apparently the clutch wasn't releasing all the way which caused this.
I have more money in it than it has been worth so far.....granted technology changed a bit from the original build back in my EPP days and some cost to upgrade was needed back in October.
This latest problem has me baffled as to why it wasn't caught back in October when nothing was changed in the time frame from then to now. So having said all that, the trans is back together....Slave was new last time and RPM provided a shim as well for the slave, so all the other parts are being/have been replaced (TOB, Pilot Bearing and Clutch Master Cylinder). Clutch is being checked for balance, and flywheel is okay other than the area where it seems engagement/disengagement may have been an issue( no grooves, just a hot spot).
Time will tell if it was worth it or not. I cannot give you my opinion currently as it would be clouded by all that has gone on. The true test will be once it is back together, being driven and tested to it's capabilities.

Scott, saw you this morning at Dupont and Lima. I was in disguise in the Danger Ranger, had the windows up, AC on, and radio up and could still hear you slowing down for the light. Car looked great, sounded even better!

Thanks. It's not "stealth", for certain. Got the AC recharged @ Preferred today. It's still a street car if it has heat and AC, right? Needs a bath ASAP. The turndown exhaust (dust blower) doesn't help. Just a few odds and ends to finish before tune day(s) next week. Finish the nitrous plumbing, change the plugs and oil, etc. Should get my NO fuel solenoid (bottom exit) Thursday.
