I dont remember any single digit cars out running the streets when Scott Bojrab had a car. I dont know if any of his cars ever got out of the low ten sec range ever.
For him to say he wont build a car again until somebody beats 10.20 in 1/4 ,well ya better start building that car Scott.. You are right when saying that the scene is not like it was but that's why we need more people like you to draw more people to the fort to race. I remember back in the days of super shops and bobick's when people from out of town would come here to race you.
So drop some cash on the super fast *** car and get back in the game. You could be the key to getting the cars /race scene alive again. come on ,do it ,do it

I think the track opens the gates at 9-9:30. You get two time trial runs then they have a 5$ dial for dollars as they call it then first round of elims.
So you can get at least four runs lol. Dial for dollars is a bracket type dial in race.

Open test and tune would be better but its late in the year and chances to make runs are quickly running out. I can talk to the tower crew tomorrow about a grudge race or two between rounds.

It looks like we will be bringing a couple cars.

Yes u r correct in saying that some only benchrace and worry about dyno #s and never go to the track for whatever reason, but the scene is still alive, and racing does happen. I prefer on the track though.
if we talk enough shilt to sdb maybe he will get another car...oh wait probably have to be a full size conversion van so he can get that walker in and out lol

Okay all you car guys, here is a scenario for you...help me try and figure it out.

1994 Cutlass Supreme driver side door handle (notorious for breaking) no longer a dealer part( cheap Chinese aftermarket only).

So I install the replacement handle as I have before and everything is working fine. I get out of the car Friday after having hit lock button inside and I remember something I left in the backseat so....here's where it gets interesting.

I try to unlock the door from the outside with my key....it unlocks however the key will not return to neutral position without locking the door again...okay simple right? WRONG!!
I go to the passenger side, unlock the door hit the unlock button inside and figure we are good to go...DD still is locked and won't open. Okay fine, get back in the car hit the unlock button on the DD and pull the inside handle...guess what.....Door will not open!! ****.

I thought of removing the door panel to see if something came lose or if i could get the screw that holds the lock in place....F'd again...panel will not come out as it is against the a pillar, door seal(kick panel).

SO WHAT THE HELL DO I DO TO GET THIS DOOR OPEN??? HEEEEEELP!!!

Can you hold it to "unlock" and open the door?

Is this handle one that runs up the back of the door?

Your going to have to bust the handle to get access to the rod thats disconnected from the lock mechanism.

Yes it is, had a mechanic friend check it out, both rods seem to still be connected, going to try and get the door panel off or at least pulled out of the way enough to get a true look at it. My thought is the lock mechanism itself migt be hung up on one of the rods or just needs to be removed and a new one put in.

Thanks for the input.

Fab work on the car is "done". Should be bringing it home tomorrow, then tying up loose ends over the weekend. Flying in my tuner on Wednesday to go over the car and do some street tuning Wed night, hitting the dyno all day Thursday, then going to a test and tune on Friday

A cross between a bent rod from the door handle to the latch and a bent lever on the back of the lock cylinder.. and a little lube and its working better then new.
