This summer we can fix it up and get it respectable.

Welding seems to be one of those things that's easy to get "ok" at, but takes a lot of practice to get "great" at. It does seem like good equipment + practice and most people can get pretty decent at it though. I'm certainly not the world's most coordinated person, and I can do "ok" with basic equipment. ![Winky](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_wink.gif)
Hopefully soon I'm going to pick up a TIG and start learning that; I like the idea of manually feeding the filler; it reminds me of soldering, which I am rather good at (kind of important for my job.

If your good with soldering blake, you shouldn't have to big of problem with TIG. You probably wouldn't have a problem with acetylene welding and filling.

Darren, you might want to check with the local gun shops as I bet the economy hasn't hurt them like it has everyone else. You were into buying guns so I was thinking it would be a good match for you. Then you could get me a good deal on one... Bob

Not that into them anymore, have one for home protection...that's about it. If I could afford them though, I would have about 20.
