A 408 with a 200 shot seems like it should easily get it done.
It absolutely should. But it hasn't. Yet. Can't get the car to 60 foot on the spray. Just blows the tires off. Only made one track day with the bottle, so that's not helping either. Car's run 110 in the 1/8 and 139 in the quarter on the rev limiter, so it's making good power. Plan on going to double adjustable shocks in the rear, adjustable spring perches and different rate springs, and a drag-style anti-roll bar this spring. Hoping for 80's at 140+, but time will tell. Car should 60 foot in the low 1.40s, imo.

I can see doing an elimination ladder setup, but index is bracket racing and I cant stand brackets. There is alot that can happen, falling asleep at the light, breaking, spinning, etc etc. Heads up. Sorry man, not trying to put down your idea, just a personal hatred for bracket racing.

Weve got alot of time to decide, just tossing ideas

Scott, what kind of susp do you have? Front and rear? I may be able to help you out with the 60

I didnt realize it was LS only, I was thinking the track rental would be open to non ls cars. Thought we would bring a couple if they were still running then.

I know basic reading comprehension is difficult for you, but when they say "fastest LS car" that normally means it's for the fastest LS car. Track day is open to anyone though

Yeah no reading comprehension I saw fastest et and fastest mph but didn't see it was ls only. Oh boy you got me with that basic reading comprehension comment.

By the way did you get that 900+ horse to go quicker than 11's yet?

The payout was being put towards LS powered cars because I think we had 2 or 3 show up last year and hoping this would bring in a few more.

Starfire, bring your cars, If we have a large showing we can possibly put up some $$$ for another type of race. God knows we dont rent the track to make money, and often pay out the remaining debt out of our own pockets. But if we have a good turnout we would love to give back to the racers with prize money.

I've never ran a 900+hp car at the track. I did make 2 passes turned alllllll the way down, at 2/3 the power you said, and only went 145 without even trying (not to mention being on the limiter before the traps in 4th), if that's what you're talking about?

Hopefully my car will be well sorted on the BS3 by the time this event comes around this year, and I can at least make a few test passes. I really need to learn how to (and get the ***** to) leave off the brake. I still need to get the 3 Step going, and MAYBE get the ETM features in the BS3 setup also. All things considered, I'll be thrilled to see some low 11s, high 10s out of it on the first passes; it really should have high 9s in the 140 range in it, if the tool behind the wheel can wring it out of it.

Oh, and fuckindexracing, no offense to the index racers here.

Single adjustable QA1s at all 4 corners, cut stock Z28 springs in the rear, 315 lb. springs up front, tunnel mount torque arm, -2.5* pinion angle, offset double-adjustable LCAs in the lowest hole, Hotchkis rear anti-sway. I've talked with Steve at Madman Racing and he said get double adjustable AFCOs out back. Said the cut springs weren't the problem. I still plan on doing the Wolfe adjustable spring perches and the bigger (probably BMR) drag bar, too.

How much does the front end weigh? Is the rear LCA level front to rear?

Never had the car corner scaled. Pretty heavy up front due to iron block, AC, etc. Not positive of the LCA angle. I'd guess slightly down at rear, though.

That's cool I understand. I was just throwing out the idea so maybe everyone had a chance at the money. I'll just go to have fun and see what everybody runs. I know I won't be the fastest car there.

Shamless plug but I build tubular front and rear susp for 4th gens, Its kinda race oriented but not like you put a ton of miles on it right? Chromoly tubing and Chromoly rod ends. Will save a bunch of weight, esp if you get rid of the factory pwr steering stuff. Let me know if you are interested

Nose heavy doesn't help much.

Only weight saving I've done up front is a UMI K-member and the hood. Going to lose the AC this year and run a ram air setup.
