Default Finially made it up to GLD last week.

So I finially took my car out to the track for a few passes. It was my cars maiden voyage, and my own. First time for everything right... Well that was my first time racing at a track..

And the results are in... I made a total of 5 passes and my best was a 12.18 at 114.5. This is with spinning through the 60ft, 1.88, thank you Shittos, and a .446 reaction time...

Needless to say there is room for improvement. I feel she has a 11.6/7 in her if I can just hook it and nail that tree.

All in all it was a good time, and after a few more parts and a little tree practice I am going back for my 11's slip!

Dude, the tree has nothing to do with ET. You MAY have an 11.8X depeding on suspension mods.

Yeah, your reaction time has nothing to do with ET. A great 60 ft. should net you 11's or even a better DA.

I've gone 1.35 - 1.38 at GLD works for me though once the dew comes in at 9pm the track goes away.

What is your raceweight, stock? I went 11.75@114 back in the day with the form/y, on a 1.57 short time. I was on ET Streets back then.

What's done to the car?

Race weight is stock - spare and jack.

Car is LS6 heads, ported and polished, 234/226 cam, 598/598 duration, full exhaust, ls6 intake... Full roller topend. Speed tuned the car for 425hp at the rubber with 396 or so for torque. 4000 yank stall. Subframes, strut tower and lcas all done. Everything else is stock.

I forgot that GLD runs the times the way they do, so its all in the suspension, gearing and tire now...

My goal is 11.5 on motor. Got some more work to do, I know.

Reaction time may not have anything to do with ET but it does have everything to do with who wins in a heads up race. Just ask Alex, we lost to a slower car at Winged Warrior by reaction time!
TC nice job, There's 11's all over that car with traction, good trap speed for a A4 car.

nice dude!

GLD may charge way too much to race for the quality of the facility and they raise their prices EVERY year without fail(they think they are route 66 or some ****) but my car has always ran its fastest times there for some reason and its half the distance away for me compared to any other track. I have done many 1.3X sixty foots there on random week nites when they weren't even prepping worth a **** due to low turnout..

I always have traction problems there. Maybe had one good night. But I don't have nearly the number of runs PSJ and Silverghost have under their belt.

I've had traction issues there too, only running BFGs though.

But yeh, id guess 11.8x for your car with that trap speed.

Yeah I was figuring around there somewhere if I can get her out of the hole without spinning. A few more parts and I might tickle the numbers I am looking for before spray...

Thanks for the input guys. Maybe some better weather and a setup suspension and I will get 11's pass... Seat time wouldnt hurt either.
