Factory GTM's don't weigh anywhere close to under 2,000 lbs. But they are considerably lighter than a Vette.

What info are you using? They are right around 2000-2100lbs, these guys are claiming theirs weighs 1970lbs.

My buddies factory five cobra with an iron block 5.0 weighs in at about 2100lbs

Straight from factoryfive.com:

"In a world where thundering Supercars routinely crest 3500 lbs, the track-tested and tuned 2350 lb. GTM is a refreshing return to sportscar fundamentals."

Hi Guys, thanks for the complements. The car has been done for a while now and is sitting in storage waiting for spring.. The vehicle definatly only weighs 1970 without driver. I have measured it.. I have ALOT of non factory five parts, and no air conditioning, different lighter weight parts all over it and lighter glass and alot of lighter body parts..

in stock form i think it would be 2300 lbs..

The other gtm should be ready by spring, That is if the paint can be done in time.. Ill definatly throw some more videos on the web after i actually get to beat on it some more.. Track time will be fun...
