2010 Camaro 13.0@110.9

The person that ran the time is a member on this site; JamRWS6. And yes it wasn't "bone stock," but I'd wager it would still have run a 13.0 without the minor mods. The 2.15 60' time lends itself to that theory. Regardless, there still have been a number of 4th gen LS1 F-bodies that hit 12s bone stock.

So now we're saying that a 5th gen won't be faster than this one freaking SS? So what are people going to say when one runs 12.4? stock no MODS. Look at the launch, it was horrible and looks like the guy didn't even drive it hard. BTW, I haven't seen more than one 4th gen run 12's Bone *** stock. That means not a damn thing touched. no lid, no exhaust, no nothing and stock factory tires.

Think about it for a minute here guys, the stock LS1 times coming anywhere near a 12 sec 1/4 were run on great tracks, w/ prepped surfaces and solid driving. This 13.0 was run on a un-prepped street surface (that looked a little old/worn) and was run in near freezing temps (maybe good for mph, bad for the launch/traction on a street surface). That is an extremely great time to have thrown down under those circumstances IMO.
None of the mainstream mags got anywhere near this time w/ the LS1 Fbodies.
Let us not forget that this "pig" runs the slalom significantly faster than the mags tested the 4th gens, and stops from 60 mph in like 10-15 feet less distance. This car would be mindblowing if it were lighter, but it still manages to throw down mag test numbers that put those laid out by the LS1 Fbodies to shame...

OK! The vette is comparing apples to oranges. I mis spoke I was referring to cars that the average person could afford, Not special edition vehicles built by a performance division for a specific demographic. I consider the corvette to be an exotic!
And I clearly said no 12 sec BONE STOCK cars. SFCs and a lid are not stock parts.
The point was to say that the gen 5 is a much better performer than the 4th gen because it weighs more and is still faster.

What we're saying is that it wasn't common and probably 1 in 400,000. I would like to know if someone actually ran a 12 second in a 4th gen bone stock. Im talking right off the show room floor. Non touched and stock tires.

OK we all know that one but are people saying that the new SS is stuck at 13.0 @110 mph is slower than that? Even that 12.9 isn't actually a kill on the new SS with a run not on a track and crappy driver as well. I'm still trying to see why people think the new SS is So freaking Slow.

Can someone show me where 111 mph in the 1/4 mile on a street, stock is slow? Im not getting it at all. Also, the New camaro can out perform the 4th gens on a road course as well.
I think people are jumping the gun abouot not liking it. I didn't like the 98+ 4th gens when they first came out because it looked like a shark. Then I got one and loved it. BTW, I ran 13.2 stock in my 98 and was an auto. not bad.
Also, most 4th Gen LS1's were underated in HP by a long shot.
